The Realkey tilt tray sorter, commonly known as the flip tray sorter, is a highly efficient and economical solution designed for sorting small to medium-sized packages. This innovative sorting system is tailored to enhance productivity in various industries by streamlining the handling process.
The sorter is comprised of key components, including tray carriers, conveyor systems, tilting mechanisms, identification technologies, control units, and track frames, all functioning through a horizontal continuous conveying model. Items are placed on trays atop motorized carts, which navigate along the designated track. When the carts reach their sorting points, the tilting mechanism activates, allowing items to slide off the trays for efficient sorting.
One of the primary advantages of the tilt tray sorter is its adaptability. It can handle a wide range of items, from parcels and boxes to envelopes and even cylindrical or spherical objects that are often difficult for conventional sorting machines to manage.

Application
The tilt tray sorter finds wide applications in scenarios requiring automated sorting of items, including postal services, express delivery, e-commerce, apparel, books and periodicals, daily necessities, fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, jewelry, and more. For certain very small, light items, as well as irregularly shaped items that are not easily handled by other types of sorters like cross belt sorters, the tilt tray sorter can effortlessly achieve automated sorting. Tilt tray sorters are most suitable for processing large quantities of consumer-facing distribution centers, allowing batch selection and sorting of small products for discrete orders, such as e-commerce goods, retail apparel, omnichannel, third-party logistics, store replenishment, returns processing, and so on. Tilt tray sorters are not suitable for fragile items that cannot withstand any impact. For sorting such special items, the Realkey series sorters from RKSORT are recommended.
